‘Care Acre transpired after many years of managing a local Authority legal department as a specialist child protection lawyer.  We are often seen as the start of a young person’s journey into care.  Our sole purpose is to protect children and young people from harm and to make a real difference in their life, for the better.

I wanted to work beyond the confines of the local authority and to develop a service, where we could offer to nurture, love, support and care for children enabling them to turn their young lives around.  As a result, our first home, Tulip House, came into being.  I am so proud of all that we have achieved.  We offer excellent care and support at all levels.  I aim to ensure that we achieve the best outcomes for our young people and work hard to maintain a high-quality service’.
