Making a Real Difference

Making a Real Difference

Welcome to Tulip House

Tulip House is a three bed residential children’s home, located in Oxford; which enables our children and young people to be integrated into the wider community. We provide individualised care and support for children and young people aged between 10 to 17 years old of either gender, who have Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) as a result of early life trauma, complex or challenging behaviour, neglect, and/or family breakdown or disruption.

Our primary aim is to Make a Real Difference to Young Lives’, by helping young people to turn their lives around and to enable them to fulfil their true potential. Tulip House welcomes children and young people from diverse backgrounds. It is our core objective to provide high quality care in a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment that meets the young people’s needs.  We will provide individualised care packages which work towards developing effective attachments, and longer-term stable placements.

Tulip House Team

Our Registered Manager has over 10 years’ experience of working in the health and social care sectors and has worked with both children and adults; which includes experience in the field of emotional and behavioural difficulties.  We have a well trained and experienced staff team.  Our team aims to support the children and young people in our care through therapeutic parenting techniques. To build a positive parent-child relationship and reminding them that we are there for them.  We work towards developing empathy and understanding of the young person’s journeys and experiences and nurturing and care throughout their stay with us.

We have a clear safeguarding / child protection policy and training is provided regarding procedures.  Staff at the home provide regular supervision of the young people. The staff are vigilant in relation to each young person’s on-going safety and protection.
