Tulip House works with children and young people of either gender between the ages of 7-17 years on admission. The home offers care and accommodation to young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD).

Our aim is to work with our young people, so that we build safe, strong relationships that combine trust, affection and comfort along with clear behavioural expectations, boundaries and routines.

Planned Admissions

  • The home manager and responsible individual would receive the initial enquiry/referral.
  • The home manager will speak with the commissioning team, social worker and other professionals involved in the young person’s care.
  • A visit to the young person is arranged (where possible).
  • An overnight stay for the young person will be sought prior to moving (where possible).
  • The young person’s room will be prepared and a personalised welcome pack including a welcome care plan will be shared upon admission.
  • The young person will then be admitted to the home.
  • Date for a 72-hour placement meeting booked.
